Yes, it will be coming...

There's a lot I wish I could write all the time. There are a million stories that I have in my mind that I wish to bring to paper (or screen, in this case), but sometimes that's just not working the way I want it to.

I have so many ideas, but honestly, you now what kills the author? Doubt. Worry. This can't be a good. People won't like this. What if people prefer this to that? What if ...? That's what kills a writer. I know a lot people who actually struggle with exactly those things, and the worst part about it all? The readers don't care. They just wait for us to ger our butt in gear and finally write that book they've been waiting for so long. I know all that and still, sometimes the fun of writing gets lost in all of that.

Okay, what am I trying to say? YES, that book you're waiting for WILL come. YES, you will be reunited with your favorite character (at least most of the time, because let's face it, Jazz and Tessa will not be back) and YES, things will be okay.

That said, there is a summer anthology that I'm currently writing and I'd love for you to get the very first sneak of it ... just a tiny bit, to make you want more. ;-)

Without further ado, please meet Bentley and Summer from Camp Summer's Fling:

(Note: Excerpt is unedited and subject to change.)

Bentley Stevens was bent over a loose floorboard when he heard approaching steps. He looked up, finding a dark-haired beauty staring at him. She wore denim shorts that were almost short enough to make his brain stop functioning. Her feet were bare, her legs long and pale. Clearly she didn’t get much sun, yet it gave her something elegant. She wore a white top and from underneath it Ben saw colorful Bikini ties shining. She had curves in all the right places, making Ben wonder how it would feel to pull her close by her hips. As it was, she was tiny compared to him. He stood at six feet tall and she reached only high enough to place her ear right above his heart. While it was obvious that she and Erin were related, they still seemed to be like day and night.

Erin had welcomed him and the other volunteers with a beaming smile and bubbly happiness, while this woman here just arched a doubtful brow at him, making him wonder if they’d met before and he just didn’t remember. She puckered her lips in disapproval and help him God, Ben wanted to kiss that expression off her face. She had high cheekbones, a straight nose and beautiful dark eyes, that were framed by thick lashes. Bangs hung to her perfectly shaped eyebrows.

Bentley knew a lot of pretty women, but barely any possessed a natural beauty like this one did. Jesus, maybe this really had been the perfect plan for the summer.

“Ben,” she said as a way of greeting and he smirked.

“Girl,” he gave back, teasing, but no smile appeared on her full, shining lips. She probably wore gloss, or however that stuff was called.

“It’s Summer. Summer Davis. I’m Erin’s sister and second manager.”

At that Bentley raised a brow. He’d only ever dealt with Erin and the appearance of a second manager took him off-guard. “Well, I’m pleasantly surprised,” he admitted, holding out a hand to her. She took it and then gave him another of those raised eyebrows.

“What?” he asked and she shook her head, turning away and leaving, only to return a few seconds later with working gloves.

“You have blisters on your hands. Either you never work with your hands unless it’s signing or stroking a woman’s skin, or you’ve been at it for quite some time. Considering how damaged everything still looks, I’d bet my money on version one,” she replied and then reached for his hand again.

Her fingers were small, and cold against his skin, yet he didn’t mind. The sun was burning down on them and he enjoyed her coolness - in both ways. He was used to women falling all over him, but she was just polite, clearly waiting until judging him. At least that’s what he hoped.

I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did! I'm looking forward to sharing more with you later this year! <3
